Looking for a Conversation
You already know what the internet has to say.
You've read the threads. Watched the videos. Taken the quizzes.
And you know, somewhere, that none of it was written by someone who actually lived the thing you're trying to figure out.
Prime Citizens matches you — one time, carefully, by a human being — with someone who has spent decades living real life and has walked through what you're facing.
Not a coach. Not a therapist. Not an app.
A person, chosen for you, who was there.
What we offer
One real conversation with a Prime Citizen — someone aged 65 to 80 who has lived what you're facing.
Matched by a human, not by an algorithm.
In person if possible. Video otherwise.
Sixty to ninety minutes. One meeting. Sometimes a second, by mutual choice.
That's it. That's the whole thing.
What people bring
There is no list of approved topics, because a life doesn't come with one. To give you a sense of the range, here are the kinds of things a conversation can start from:
- "My marriage is ending and I can't picture the other side."
- "I'm about to become a parent, and I didn't have one worth copying."
- "I sold the business I spent twenty years building. I don't know who I am without it."
- "I got a diagnosis last month and I haven't told my family yet."
- "I want to walk away from a secure career and start something of my own."
- "We're moving our children to a new country, and everyone thinks we're wrong to go."
- "My mother is disappearing into dementia, and I'm the one holding everything together."
- "I lost my husband last year, and the world moved on before I did."
- "I'm retiring in the spring, and it feels less like freedom than like a cliff."
- "My son doesn't fit the mold, and every school meeting is a battle."
- "I went broke at forty and I'm ashamed to tell anyone."
- "My faith is changing, and it's changing my marriage with it."
If yours doesn't look like any of these, write it anyway. If a person could live it, someone already has.
What this is not
This is not therapy. If you need a therapist, we will say so, and we'll wish you well.
This is not coaching. If you need a coach, we will say so, and we'll wish you well.
This is not medical advice or legal advice. If those are what you actually need, we will say so.
This is a conversation — with a real person who lived what you're now living. Nothing more. And, often, nothing less.
How this works right now
Prime Citizens is currently in pilot.
That means Benjamin, our founder, is the person who reads what you write. He thinks about which Prime Citizen might be the right one for your situation. He writes back within a few days.
Sometimes he'll say: "Here's who I have in mind." Sometimes he'll say: "I don't have the right person for this yet, but I'll keep looking." Sometimes he'll say: "What you're describing is something else — here's what I'd try instead." He'll always say something.
There is no automated matching. There is no dashboard. There is no dropdown menu of topics. It's one person on our end, reading yours.
Common questions
Is this therapy or counseling?
No. And if a therapist or counselor is what you actually need, we will say so, and we'll wish you well. A conversation with a Prime Citizen sits alongside that kind of help, never in place of it.
What does it cost?
Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing. During the pilot, the practical details are sorted out person by person — Benjamin covers them in his reply.
Who exactly would I be talking to?
A real person aged 65 to 80 who has actually lived what you're facing. Not a professional listener. Not a volunteer reading from a script. Someone whose life passed through the same territory yours is in now.
What can I bring to a conversation?
Almost anything a life can contain — the list above is a sample, not a boundary. If what you're facing doesn't look like any of it, write it anyway.
How does the matching work?
A human does it. Benjamin, our founder, reads what you write, thinks about who the right Prime Citizen might be, and replies within a few days. No algorithm is involved at any step.
What if there's no right person for my situation?
Then we'll say so, plainly. Sometimes the answer is "not yet, but I'll keep looking." Sometimes it's "what you're describing needs something else — here's what I'd try instead." You will always get an answer.
Is what I write private?
Yes. It is read by a real human, held privately, and used for nothing beyond making a thoughtful match. It is never published, never shared, and never fed to any AI system.
Can I talk to the same person again?
One meeting is the shape of it. Sometimes there is a second, by mutual choice. What happens after that is between the two of you.
Ask for a conversation
Thank you.
Benjamin — or a human working with him — will read what you sent and reply within a few days.
You don't need to do anything else right now.
